Our Independence Covenant
Last updated June 2026
An assessment is worth what the assessor's independence is worth. A financial auditor can't be owned by the company it audits, and a safety verdict on your AI means nothing when it comes from the cloud, model or security vendor being judged. Across this market, the testing layer is being bought up by exactly those giants. Verdict hasn't been, and it commits in writing that it won't be.
What we commit to
- We will not take equity, board seats, or control from any cloud provider, foundation-model lab, or security platform whose products we assess or that competes with the systems our customers run.
- We prefer financial capital over strategic capital, precisely so our verdict answers to no vendor.
- Our grading is not for sale: a customer cannot buy a passing score, and a failing finding is never softened for a paying account.
- We assess every system by the same battery and the same judge, whether the model underneath is ours, a customer's, or a competitor's.
- Your assessment is a third-party assessment — stated as such in our customer terms, not just our marketing.
So a Verdict badge tells your buyer something a self-attested checklist can't: the party that attacked your AI and graded it answers to no one who profits from the answer. A security or compliance giant can't copy that, because buying an independent tester ends its independence.
